Children in Need teatime/ holiday activity club ……………………………………
Brief History: In May 2018 Swinton Lock was successfully awarded a 3 year grant from BBC Children in Need. This grant was awarded to deliver teatime activity clubs and holiday activities for children and young people across our communities from the ages of 6 to 16 years.
This funding has enabled us to create a diverse programme of activities aimed at supporting children and young people with a disability or learning need. This can also include children at risk of social isolation and young carers.
Swinton Lock are proud to be working once again with the children in need grant team
Activity sessions run for 2 hours per week and are created by the group to include the following : Crafts, baking, Games, boat trips, nature trails, pottery, painting and drawing and much much more ………….
Current days / times: Activity club sessions run each and every Thursday teatime during the school term from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Typically during school holidays/ half terms this club will run on a Thursdays afternoon from 1pm – 3pm (please speak to a member of the staff team to check current times)
Prices: Please note this is a fully funded service through BBC Children in need meaning each session is free to attend and also includes full materials and refreshments including a teatime snack.
